Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time ago
I met a pretty girl
And when she sat down next to me
My head began to whirl

I don't know what it was, right then
And still don't to this night
I didn't, up 'til then, believe
In true love at first sight

I wanted to go out with her
But only fantasized
Little did I know
Or even care to realize

As time went by, I saw her more
And we became good friends
I couldn't tell her how I felt
Because of her boyfriend

When they broke up, I saw my chance
I knew not what to do
The next thing I remember
Was saying, "I love you"

We we're walking from the park
(It was kind of late, you see)
When I remember saying,
"Will you go out with me"

I didn't know I'd said it
Surprised I was, at best
And then I got another
When I heard her say, "Yes"

Now we've been together
For, what seems, the longest time
And when I'm not around her
I feel like I am dying

My love is now and always
'Til forever, and a day
And until the day that time stands still
I'll always feel this way

For love isn't just here and now
It's something all can feel
It's in most every fairytale
It's "Once upon a time..." for real
